The US should leave NATO as soon as possible because Donald Trump has sabotaged all possibilities for cooperation with Europe. A new defense alliance must be formed with Europe and Canada as its foundation.

In just a few months, everything has changed. It may sound like a cliché because so many before me have already stated this. But it deserves to be said again and again and again.

The world has changed for the worse in just a few months. Image: Imago-Images.com/purchased image

Our view of the world has changed. Our view of normal rules of engagement between states and governments has changed. The trust that once existed between certain countries, regions and continents is now completely exhausted.

The respect that existed to some extent for international law has now been blown away.

The respect that previously existed to some extent for international law, for the laws of war, for respect for the territories of other countries, for the right to conduct trade and navigation without being stopped by a madman, for reasonably polite diplomatic behavior and, not least, for the right to live in peace, all of this has now been shattered.

Hatred and greed have taken over the world. Image: Istockphoto.com/purchased image
It is not least US President Donald Trump who currently represents the hatred and greed that characterizes society today. Image: Imago-images.com/purchased image

Instead, the new norms have fostered hatred, revenge, lawlessness, greed, lies and, not least, the demand for the right of the strong. All of this has been forced upon us without anyone lifting a finger to prevent it.

Donald Trump’s hatred of Europe has meant that a new world order must be created. Image: Imago-images.com/purchased image

Because of Donald Trump’s hatred of Europe, nothing remains but to create a new world order and a new defense strategy that is based on mutual respect, cooperation, justice, respect for international law and respect for human rights.

A new defense alliance to replace the current NATO is needed. With its current composition, NATO is worn out as a defense alliance. Donald Trump and the US’s bullying of its allies have reduced NATO cooperation to a pile of rubble.

Mark Rutte has no place as Secretary General either in NATO or in a new possible defense union that does not include the US. Trust in the accommodating Trump supporter Rutte has cracked.

At the same time, the current Secretary General Mark Rutte must be replaced. The trust in Rutte is exhausted because he has been teasing Trump from the beginning to keep him in a good mood. Rutte has even called Donald Trump ”Daddy” and has been stroking him to ensure that Trump and the US do not leave NATO.

This nonsense has greatly irritated several of the European NATO countries. Mark Rutte crowned his unpopularity when a few weeks ago he even called on the NATO allies to go to the Persian Gulf and help Donald Trump empty the Strait of Hormuz.

No European NATO country heeded the call from Mark Rutte to go and help Donald Trump clean up the Strait of Hormoz. The war against Iran was Donald Trump’s own war. It was not a war that NATO was involved in, both the NATO countries in Europe and Canada explained. Image: Iran International

It was a call that no European NATO country obeyed. Instead, the criticism of Rutte came as a letter in the mail. So Mark Rutte does not belong in the new defense union that must eventually replace NATO.

This cooperation cannot be rebuilt to what NATO once was. Trump has already cut such deep wounds in the European soul that no one wants to have anything to do with him anymore.

Europe must therefore take responsibility for its own defense, for its own defense industry and for its own technological development. For Europe, Canada will be the great pillar, Canada which, under the leadership of Prime Minister Mark Carney, is now doing everything it can to break its dependence on the United States.

Canada and its Prime Minister Mark Carney could become a new pillar for Europe within the framework of a new defense alliance. Image: Facebook

Today, 70 percent of Canada’s exports go to the United States. It’s an export dependency called ”duga.” This dependency has therefore made Canada a puppet in the hands of Donald Trump.

In a new defense alliance, in addition to Europe and Canada , Turkey should of course also be included, as should Ukraine . Perhaps a country like Moldova could also eventually become a member of the new defense alliance.

Both Australia and New Zealand already have well-developed military cooperation with NATO within the framework of the so-called partnership model. This cooperation must be strengthened and developed.

In addition, it would be an advantage to also strengthen cooperation with certain reliable countries in North Africa and the Middle East, such as Egypt, and in the long term perhaps even Saudi Arabia . Such cooperation would give the new defense alliance greater economic muscle and also capture strategically important countries in the Middle East and Oceania.

The remarkable thing is that there is only one person who has wrought the geopolitical havoc that I have described. That is US President Donald Trump . But behind Trump stands a man who applauds everything Donald Trump says and does, namely Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu .

These two men are today the world’s most dangerous and dominant warmongers who do not hesitate to violate international law, all international legislation, and the laws of war themselves day after day.

Previously, there were two other dictators considered the world’s most dangerous, namely Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese Supreme Leader Xi Jinping . The latter is General Secretary of the Communist Party of China , Chairman of the Central Military Commission and President of China. He is the most powerful leader China has had since Mao Zedong .

”Both Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping have deliberately kept a low profile during the Iran war”

Putin and Jinping have deliberately kept a low profile during the US and Israel’s war against Iran – mainly because the war has paradoxically benefited them both economically and geopolitically. Their low profile during the Iran war has meant that their threatening existence has receded somewhat into the background.

However, this does not prevent either Putin or Jinping from aspiring to the position of the world’s leading economic power in the future. This applies, of course, primarily to China. What role Russia will play in the future is still unclear.

The economic sanctions against Russia, together with the costs of the war against Ukraine, have turned the Russian economy into a quagmire that will take a long time to rebuild.

Mark Carney signed a unique trade deal with China a few months ago. In the picture he is seen shaking hands with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Image: Facebook

One person who has already sketched out a new global power and defense order is Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, something that has earned him great respect and loud praise. Canada will be a stabilizing factor in future North Atlantic cooperation – even if Canada will never be able to fill the US’s gigantic suit within NATO. Canada, for example, has only 40 million inhabitants. The US has 350 million.

But it is not always the size that matters. Instead, it is the intelligence, the sharpness, the inventiveness, the imagination, the economic and social strategies and, not least, the will to create a better world together.

Donald Trump has sabotaged NATO cooperation with Europe. Image: Al Jazeera

With Donald Trump as president of the United States, there are no longer any such opportunities for cooperation. He has sabotaged NATO cooperation through his constant bullying of his allies in Europe but also of Canada and Australia. This also applies to the sky-high trade tariffs with which he has punished various countries whose opinions or actions he does not like.

I am not saying that the US should be isolated from the rest of the world. But as long as the US does not accept the condition of ”one for all, all for one”, the US role as overlord over Europe and Canada is impossible to defend.

We can’t make fun of Donald Trump anymore. We have to take him seriously. Image: Imago-images.com/purchased image

At the same time, we can no longer make fun of Donald Trump. We must take him seriously, however repulsive it may seem. We must recognize that this man is deadly dangerous. He is a threat to world peace (if there is any left). He is a threat to global stability and to productive cooperation.

The US would do best to get rid of its president as soon as possible. The farcical and embarrassing developments in the Iran war show that Trump is not up to the task of being the president of the world’s most important democracy, the US commander-in-chief, and the pillar of the world.

Donald Trump has destroyed the world’s trust in the United States. Image: Imago-images.com/purchased image

Instead, he has destroyed the world’s trust in the United States and, for the foreseeable future, sabotaged the possibilities for cooperation with Europe.

Donald Trump’s Machiavellian and self-aggrandizing traits paired with his madness and (likely) failing cognitive functions have become a threat to millions of people worldwide.

The completely uncontrolled, desperate and unpredictable behavior he has shown during the Iran war (which he himself started, by the way!) has made him one of the world’s most dangerous politicians. I have said it before and I will say it again.

This man alone controls the US nuclear arsenal. He can send a nuclear-armed missile anywhere he wants without having to ask anyone. Image: Iran International

This madman alone has the legal right to control the US nuclear arsenal without having to ask anyone else for permission. It is a life-threatening situation.

It’s like giving a can of gasoline and a box of matches to an arsonist or an assault rifle to someone already convicted of murder. In other words, it’s asking for trouble.

If control of the Iran war slips out of Donald Trump’s hands, there’s no telling what might happen. Image: Imago-images.com/purchased image

If control of the war in the Middle East slips out of Donald Trump’s hands – if it hasn’t already – I hardly dare to think the forbidden thought of what he might do in his desperation and fanaticism: launch a nuclear bomb at Iran!

If that were to happen, Iran would be wiped out just as Donald Trump wants.

The only person who could stop Trump from resorting to the worst possible weapon of mass destruction is his friend and fellow warrior Benjamin Netanyahu . The state of Israel is too close to Iran to avoid being seriously affected and damaged by a nuclear attack in the region.

The most devastating thing is that Donald Trump has contributed to the meaning of our language changing. Words have lost their value and their true meaning. Image: Imago-images.com/purchased image

However, what is most devastating for us ordinary people in the short term is that Donald Trump has not only demolished the previous world order and torn NATO apart. He has also, in a short time, robbed our language of its true meaning. Our words and our accepted concepts and values have lost both their meaning and their value because of him. He never hesitates to lie, not even to the whole world.

Nothing is recognizable anymore. Everything has been transformed into its opposite. Everything has changed shape. Nothing is the same as before. We can no longer formulate our thoughts in words because words have lost their true meaning. Let me give you a few examples:

Compilation and graphics: Elisabet Höglund

This list could be made twice, even three times as long. It feels heavy to have been robbed of the truth and to have allowed a single person to break down our common values and reshape the world to suit his greed, power hunger and madness. Donald Trump himself calls it ”to Make America Great Again( MAGA ).

Sorry Donald! Image: Imago-images.com/purchased image

Sorry Donald, but I think it will unfortunately be exactly the opposite. If anyone loses from Trump’s policies and contemptuous behavior, it’s him – and the American people.

The world has already started to turn away from the US and is instead feverishly looking for new trading partners and new friends. The US can no longer be trusted. It is excellent that so many have realized this.

How much cold steel can Europe withstand when it comes to implementing this transition. Image: Facebook

But how much cold steel can Europe and the EU withstand when it comes to implementing this necessary re-navigation? There are several EU countries that want the US to remain in NATO. This includes Poland, Finland and the Baltic states, i.e. the countries that have Russia as their closest neighbors.

It is understandable that people are worried about losing the support that they believe the US still provides – including through the deterrent nuclear weapons that the US has at its disposal. But the US is no longer a support. Donald Trump himself has repeatedly repeated his mantra that ”he wants to leave NATO”, that ”he has never had any faith in NATO” and that ”Europe can expect to take greater responsibility for NATO” in the future.

According to Trump, Europe can expect to take greater responsibility for NATO in the future.
